Item: vintage handmade carved wood statue Bulul figures are typically placed in granaries and are believed to be guardian deities that protect the rice crop and ensure a bountiful harvest. Also used during Rituals involving the figures include dipping them in the blood of a chicken or pig, which gives the wood a dark color over time, along with a patina from food offerings.
