bansheefaerie @amarisvb0391 I would be interested if the gauge was known. Calipers are pretty cheap, but you can also just walk in to a hardware store with the ring/jewelry and use a pair of calipers to measure the mm. Piercings have specific gauges and need specific sizes. For example, my nostril piercings are 18 gauge, my septum piercings and lip are 16 gauge, my philtrum is 14 gauge and my cheeks are 12 gauge.

bansheefaerie @amarisvb0391 Putting the wrong size jewelry in a piercing can either cause damage by stretching the piercing or cause the piercing to shrink. Having the correct size is a matter of safety in some cases. Some piercings can have a cheese grater effect if too small of a gauge is placed in the piercing. What this means is the jewelry actually cuts through the flesh like a wire cheese slicer, causing the piercing to migrate. Have a wonderful weekend!
