They have changed the feed to a personalized feed which is where our shares would show up in the past. therefore I am suspending the game temporarily until we can get it all figured out gang! I wish I had more information for you but the fact is, after much reading and digging ,I don't know at this time with the new personal feed where all our followers are able to see what we are sharing. So if someone is searching a specific brand the items just shared will show up at the top of that specific brand page feed and now that is the only place our items will be rotated based on shares.

Since I have become aware of these Poshmark changes and can't give you an answer where our shares are counting, I have put the group on temporary hold because I don't want you all wasting your precious time sharing if the shares don't even matter anymore. These shares will remain visible in your own closet for your followers to see under “Shares”. Many Poshers use this type of sharing as a way to curate this section of their closet more intentionally, showing support for some of their favorite finds. Following other Community members continues to be an important way to build connections on Poshmark.

jbartholomew24 @gems_m thanks for addressing. I had heard talk of this last week and there has been nothing official from posh that I have seen. Per usual they make these huge changes and don’t tell us anything or wait until the absolute last possible moment. They did it last year with the fee structure then this year with shipping changes. It’s disheartening when they keep us in the dark. I hope they hear people’s frustrations and do something about it.

Someone mentioned the new for you feed (which I hate plus the “you may like” at the bottom of everyone’s closet) is pushing “brands”. Most of my sales are to closets that don’t sell so hopefully Buyers are seeing our shared items. Gonna keep sharing to see how this works out.

More like the other huge online sales sites. They don’t want their servers filled up w/ bundle comments & chit chat where they are limiting these. Emphasis is on list a lot with lots of “search” words so you’re found. I think. Hubby says “product-centric” less personal

peggy1658 @carlotta808 this makes no sense. who goes to a persons closet and looks in the shares???? What we should be telling them is go back to what it was otherwise they are going to be losing poshers and that will lead to layoffs at posh. When they took the followers off of the web, so many of us complained including me and the next day they were put back. We are dealing with a new head guy who's a money person. That's all he sees. We have to bring his focus back to the people.

carlotta808 @mxx1994 yes it is frustrating. 3-5 shares as our shares no longer go to the main feed but to our closet shares so they are seen only when someone is looking for a specific item, so I think we need to rethink our strategy and work on selecting items similar to our closets to pit in our closet shares. So sharing more doesn’t really help anyone as it’s not going into the feed. For others to see but only to our closet shares.

gems_m @carlotta808 I agree with you on the limited sharing if in fact what is happening to the platform is really happening! I can't get any real answers from Poshmark but from frading and from my own viewing and experience it seems it is leaning towards a branding platform which would make it not sensible to do a lot of shares for each closet. Trust me I am doing as much research as I can as I want to be as truthful to everybody as possible while these changes are happening.

Next year starting the 4th year of selling. Buying first. I had an experience and customer service was efficient. After the sale to the Korean Corporation , no customer support, founder & ceo finally left but they were trying to force him out.

redhawkwoman Another platform tried some changes about 18 months ago and did a bomb. You have to relate to your audience of buyers & sellers on what they want. Not what you want. It’s called listen! They’ll see loss of closets and closets closing. It started beginning of this year big time. If you focus only on buyers, where are you going to get your closets aka sellers.

My own view....Poshmark is trying to veer away from the social aspect of its platform that we all know and turn it into a brand based , no social interaction, mostly live platform. I hope they respond to my questions on whether sharing is still helpful to all of us. Feel strongly that lots of keywords in our listings are going to buyers that are searching those items, brands etc

bell1971 @gems_m I’m not sure about this new way of sharing to no feed or followers. Been Poshing since 2017 and I enjoyed the social aspect of Poshmark. If that goes away, there is no since of me being here anymore. I think I sell some nice items but not anything anyone will be searching for. In my opinion. If my sales don’t pick up after spending countless hours each day on this APP.. I’ll be leaving. Sad. 😔

Remember they took the followers away from the web (i use my macbook )& I screamed several times & the next day it was back. Everyone has to realize we're dealing with a guy who was a CFO. All he cares about is $. I've worked in companies where this has happened. The company was ruined and was bought by another company. We have to be organized. No emotions. Just logical steps forward

peggy1658 @mxx1994 if you are on your laptop and you open your closet on the left hand side at the top it says shares. if you go there you can see what you've shared. But you can't see people who have shared you. I think you and everyone who is experiencing this needs to message support. and don't worry about being nice. ask why can't you see shares. what's going on with shares and sharing. use BOLD AND CAPS. They seem to react to that.

I'm looking into them. can't write them because posh will delete this message. but i'm sure you know the one i'm thinking of. it was the first one ever. as i've said before we are dealing with a $ person who doesn't care about anything else. You go to news scroll to the right at the top until you see shares click that and that is how you see everybody who has shared you. If you are in your closet page and click the shares you will only see your shares and that has always been that way.

But everything is in the menu along the left hand side.I was trying to understand and help someone who was looking for shares and followers. At this point, any of this could be anywhere.

gems_m @carlotta808 Thank you for your suggestion but I am comfortable and experienced enough to know that Posh is going brand based and that is where the shares are going on your followers personal feed. We all need to work on the wording of our listings and make sure the brands are listed correctly and in the right category while this trial is in its infancy, and in the end may end up being only temporary anyway.

gems_m @carlotta808 I feel your worries. My rings don't really have well known brand names just unknown to most designers. That's when you need to get creative with your keywords and possibly brand your items as estate, vintage etc.

msneverending1 @gems_m I am so frustrated about the new algorithm which now I have to use a stylus to share which takes twice as long to complete shares and no one can tell if you’ve actually shared to share groups. Also, when they changed the photographs to a different format, I can no longer edit any of my photos. It used to allow me to pick the tone of the picture & allowed adjustments to adjust sharpness of the photos. I’m still going to share. Love & Peace Carol

myfurryfamily @msneverending1 frustrated too that the share button is too small & too close to the NWT. Takes me 3 times to get it done. BUT I think our shares are getting out there. It’s just not the “community “ site we are used to. Lots of free online apps to edit your photos like Google. Praying sales increase!

I scrolled for 5 minutes in "jewelry" did not recognize a single item from all the folks I regularly share (or mine) some AI generated algorithm is deciding Who sees What... so not feeling better 😕
