@laurielynn34 I agree, the Disney VHS’s that do have value are ones not released on DVD like the Song of the South and especially ones with covers that were later censored like the Little Mermaid original cover that had a phallic image on the front.

@laurielynn34 I have the original Little Mermaid VHS and selling it. Some people are selling copies of it up to 100s of dollars. But the question is if they really do sell even with their rarity.

@disneygurl2u they do sell when they’re in the thrift store for $1 I see them everywhere! People can’t give them away! I mean, maybe 20-50 years from now they may be worth something but mass production doesn’t ever sell for a lot when they’re so overly available! I wish they were worth more but the ones

@disneygurl2u you see that are sold for a lot u have to wonder who purchased them- someone’s relative trying to help that person out? U just never know! Just right underneath that one that bkack diamond Aladdin that was sold for 1500 right underneath it one was sold for eight dollars so smart collectors -people don’t just buy things for what they say they they shop around in the’re a dime a dozen

@laurielynn34 the original Little Mermaid VHS? I do not find that it is common. The reissued VHS of the movie I find to be common. However, I agree, if you are lucky, you can find one for $1-$5 at a thrift store with its original cover.

@laurielynn34 when Disney found out about the phallic symbol on the cover, they quickly told all distributors to return them or destroy them. The ones that do exist were previously owned.
