Uncertain the metal type - looks like sterling but uncertain. No noticeable chips/cracks. Very unique rare looking mug! Approximately 3.75 inches tall x 5 inches with handle and 3.5 inch opening. Handle. Do not microwave. Hand wash is recommended. I know some sellers ship mugs in small boxes but in my experience it's always best to leave enough room around the piece you are shipping to allow for safety in case the box gets bumped on stacked on other boxes -so this mug will be shipped in a larger box (therefore won't qualify for first class shipping).
