00 1930s Whiting and Davis Allumesh off-white metal mesh frame purse

One of the nicest examples of the Whiting and Davis Allumesh bags from the 1930s I have seen. Allumesh is an enamel coating over their metal mesh. Other bags with off-white, celluloid handles are sometimes mis-listed as having bakelite handles. This bag has a handle that is clearly different, and tested positive for bakelite with Simichrome. Brass frame and brass filigree work over the handle, has a beautiful blue-violet lining with two wall pockets. Condition: excellent condition. No wear.
