🇿🇦 Ashanti Mahitzi bean bag I got last year in Cape Town, South Africa. NWT

This unique bright, multicolored, one of a kind bean bag was hand woven in South Africa. 💯 up-cycled… Made of recycled old strips of cotton t-shirts. It’s crafted w African classical weaving techniques from re-cycling T-shirt material that otherwise would have been discarded in landfills. Each T-shirt is torn into strips by hand, then hand dyed, and then re-woven and crafted into this iconic, colorful fabric. Made of cotton and cotton mix. I got this at their Kloof Street store… but sadly I have no room in my new apartment for it😔. Does not come with the polystyrene beads that you’ll need to fill it with. (but you can get these on Amazon) There is a zipper bag inside to secure the beads in, fyi. I hope this finds a home where it’s admired and loved🩷🧡💛 selling a lumbar pillow that sorta matches this bean bag as well (as seen in 4th picture)
