He had gone thru surgery, but they can't control his pain. They finally but a pain pump on him so he can puss the button every time he feels pain. As of now it is working and helping him. He will need more surgery in a few days, so they can finish placing more pins on the other leg. They could not do it while he was having his fist surgery due to the swelling of his foot.

Up DATE: Just got back to our room. He has had two surgeries, the first one was A few hours after the wreck. That took 6 hrs, last night he went into surgery at 4pm and did. It get out till 1am. That's 9hours. We are all exhausted. His fiancΓ© in hanging in there. She is really a strong young woman. My son in a lot of pain, they can't seam to control his pain. He has never taken pain meds, not even Tylenol. So he is having a hard time.

. I just thank the LORD that he is going to be ok, he will be in the hospital for at least 2/3 months. He is still bleeding from his brain, but it is a small bleed Nd also bleeding from his pelvis, that also is small. They don't seem to be worried about it. Thank you for All the prayers.

@sunilda Last week there was a pair of earrings which she really really wanted, which I'd had on "hold" for someone. I told her that if the sale did not go through, I would let her know, (because the lady had done that in the past where she would ask me to put things on hold then not want them), the lady did end up buying them, so I guess this time she was determined she was not going to miss something she wanted, no matter if I have them held for someone else.

But I wanted to be able to reach you to not only let you know why they are sold, but explain the conversation exchange, she is harsh sounding & tough but I think there is a language translation thing going on which makes it harsher.

He just believes that he will never be able to play with his children, and I keep telling him that just because u r in pain now does not mean that the pain will be for the rest of your life. He is young and he will recover. We found out that the other driver was not wearing a seat belt and died on impact.

I don't understand how someone could drive in the wrong side of the road for miles and know one was able to stop him. I got to see in person what my sons truck looks like, i about fainted. It is a of the most horrific accidents I have ever seen.

@cms4354 - thank you for the post. He is doing a lot better, but has had 5 surgeries on his left ankle and foot. He is just starting to put weight on his body and is able to stand/walk with assistant. He just can't put any weight on his left foot. Mentally I don't think he is doing all that great.

He just had his first daughter in August 5th, and feels like he is useless. It will be about a year before he can walk again. He is just used to being able to go and do things and now all he can do is stay in a hospital bed and help out the best he can. I pray for him every night that Our good Lord will help/continue heeling him physically and mentally. Ty, again for asking. Bless you

Still a long recovery. It seams that he will need at least another 5 to 6 more surgeries. had his first child (girl, 8lbs 9oz. 23 inches long) he will not be able to work for another year. So he is very stressed. Been trying to figure out how I can try to raise money for them.

@sunilda I empathize with what you've been through.4yrs ago, my 16 yr old son had a ski accident.shattered his lower body,9 surgeries in 6 weeks.We almost lost him has 50 pieces of titanium metal that make up his lower body ,didn't think he'd live, or ever walk again after 2 yrs of therapy he stood for the first time, there wasn't a dry eye in the house. He walks with a permanent brace.he's alive. He's my miracle. I know first hand how hard this is , but know this, it get better.

I know he will walk again, it will take a year or so before he will. But I'm most thankful that he is alive. Specially since he just had his first child a girl. She is 2 months old now. What I worry the most about is his mental health. How did your son handle it? I know mi e gets depressed a lot.

Oh my gosh... I just stumbled upon your post by accident, and feel so horribly for you, your son and his fiance. You should really consider starting a GoFundMe campaign online. I believe that is actually the name of the website to go to as well, gofundme.com. you can tell your story, and people can contribute online, and you can post it on Facebook or any other means you have of getting it in front of people. Actually, I would consider posting it here as well once you get it set up!

And on a side note to the woman above who was holding things for you, instead of just putting the word hold on something and hoping it doesn't sell, you need to go into the listing, click Edit, and under availability select not for sale. This will ensure that nobody can jump in and buy something that you are holding. On the matter of the pearls, I was very upset cause they were for my son to give to his fiancΓ©e as a push gift (after she delivered his first child) the pearls where beautiful and Emily just loves pearls. But I could not do anything about it, and we can't help if some ppl just go ahead and purchase somethings that is on hold. So no hard feelings.
About a fundraiser, I really don't know how to go about it.

@lmb219 - They are trying to move to New Orleans from Pensacola so they can have ppl to help them. ( family members that live there) of course if they moved to New Orleans, it would be easier for me to also be there for him since driving from Texas to New Orleans is not that far. You see I live in Rockport Texas, and from Rockport to Pensacola it's over 10hrs

@lmb219 - The state trooper that was onsite as the accident happened, could not believe that my son was alive due to the impact of the head on collision. You see the other driver did it on purpose, he commuted suicide. It seems like he had tried a few months earlier to commit suicide by using a gun. He was talked out of killing himself and was on medication for his depression.

@lmb219 - well I guess the medication did not work, cause he drove for hours back and forth on the eastbound and westbound lanes until he found the right time and the right vehicle too hit head on. The state troopers, after investigating the accident, told me that my son was hit at a speed of over 152mph

@lmb219 - That is combining with my son's speed of 60mph (my son had put on his brakes, once he noticed what was about to happen) and the other drivers speed was over 90mph without ever breaking. You see, the only marks on I-10 eastbound, was my son trying to stop his truck and trying to get out of the way.

@lmb219 But it was impossible since my son saw him at the last minute due to the other vehicle not having his lights on. He does not remember anything (thank the Lord) that happened after 8pm, the accident happened at 8:51pm.

OMG!!!! What an absolutely horrific situation all around, i hope at some point, your son can see his survival as a gift, because clearly that's what it is. There it's no way God does not have a plan for him, because it'd he didn't, he would have been taken that night as well as the other driver.

All you can do at this point is be there in the only way you know how, and i get that you may not want to share skull this on Facebook, but please look into gofundme.com. You don't need to share photos or graphic details, but your son and his family are most definitely going to need financial help, and lots of it, and in addition to an actual fundraiser, this could be another revenue stream while they need it.

Enlist the help if family that maybe aren't as raw as you are right now, and be sure to mention in your gofundme campaign that your son has little ones and a girl that are also in need until Daddy can get back on his feet...post the link on here too....i bet many will give...i don't have much, but i know I'll give. Not even sure if I'm supposed to do this here, but I would check out this new site I found and have made a few purchases from called swap.com. You basically just sending a bunch of stuff in really good condition, they take all the pictures and post it and you just have to go in and add your price to it. They do take 25% + $1.50 per item, but for me, it is so worth it to not have to take pictures and model stuff!

Sorry ladies, I have had a few medical issues with my daughter now! Not only have I had to deal with my son's accident, but know my daughter is real sick - I don't know if I posted what she was diagnosed with, but it is not good. It's call PSEUDOTUMOR CERIBRI. It's a false TUMOR, what that means is that she has spinal fluid building up behind her optical nerve. We have to have 6 MRI's plus a spinal tap to release the extra amount of spinal fluid she is producing.

The neurologist and ophthalmologist are worried that this condition will have an affect of her becoming blind. She could literally go to sleep one night and wake up blind. There's is no way to reverse the blindness, but they can start treating her with meds to find which blood vessels in her brain are blocked. Yes, by blocked they mean aneurysms. The aneurysm are so small that they are not too worried at this time of her having an aneurysm.

But it is possible. We have had to go to the ophthalmologist once a week to check her vision. We don't know how we are going to pay the out of pocket that our insurance is not covering. Right now they are telling us that we need about $7,329 dollars to start her work-ups from blood work, MRI's, spinal tap and draining of her spinal fluid. She will also need surgery if the other treatments don't work.

just wanted to update everyone. My oldest Son started walking for the first time on the 18th of this month.. This is the first time he has walked since his head on collision on April 23rd, 2015.... My daughter is going thru txt and by February I hope we will have all the money we have to continue with her medical test.. Our out of pocket is in the thousands, but I know we will figure it out

I hate giving you all more bad news, it seams that what ever is going on is following us like a bad storm.. My niece (brothers little girl 16yrs) was shot in the face on Monday the 18th at 6pm, by some 17yr old boy.. She was able to pull though this with our LORDS help..

She has lost her vision on her left eye, and all the inside of her sinus cavity was demolished. She can't blow her nose, since she has one nostril inside. She has a plastic surgeon that will reconstruct the inside of her face, her cheek bone and part of her eye socket was crushed from the force of the .22 bullet that she was shot with... She has a Titanium plate in her face, for her left cheek bone and part of her eye socket. I will continue updating everyone, thank you for all the prayers..

Also, because of God, I believe that my Son can now walk (yes, it's with with crutches) but he is walking and will continue to heal by Gods hand. With my niece, the Lord made sure that this young lady made the decision to leave a bad situation,

but unfortunately this young man did not care or was mad that she was leaving and that's when he shot her in the side of her face. She will and is starting her path to recovery. The pain is awful, the nightmares are horrific, but she will make it. So thank you again for all the prayers/beautiful words.

@wlew - one year this past April about my oldest son. He is just learning how to walk again, but it will be another 1 or 2 before he will be better. Mentally, that's different. He is still a little angry, but getting help for that. He started remembering the accident. That's not good. Its not helping him heal mentally. Ty, for your concern

My son had horrific bike accident two years ago and i sat bedside til he woke, then nursed him back, did therapy for months.. He was one lucky young man to have lived.
