beanqueen @neci79 surgery was very effective. I have lost 92 lbs so far. Recovery time can be as minimal as you want it. There are ppl who go back next day. I have a desk job and would not even consider taking less than 5 days off. There is a website called lapbandtalk.com that was very helpful in me making the decision to move forward.
