What is stuck on the bottom of the figurine? Is it something you think I can get off? I want to use this as a graduation gift for a former student.

@jwilsford, hello. Thanks for reaching out with your question. Honestly, I'm not sure what it is. It has the appearance of glue. It didn't come of when I gently hand washed it but I didn't want to accidentally damage it by scraping it off.
