Seller apologized. Tape failure. There was packaging, but came out when tape failed. Box was open and crushed a bit. If there was packaging it wasn't in it when it arrived to me. Thankfully the item was intact in the manufacturer packaging and was fine. I suggest better tape and packaging materials, wether paper or bubble wrap.
