Suzanne, you were absolutely right: this is a gorgeous dress. You were also absolutely right to let me buy it!😂I needed a boost and can't imagine a better medicine than this. Even though I'm 70 years old, apparently I'm still growing, and I went shopping recently because my clothes were getting tight and it was bringing me down. Like 99% of women in the world, I have my share of ridiculous and frustrating "body image issues." Competition on PM is wicked fierce for flattering clothes in my size range, but as soon as I saw this one I had to have it. It was more than the size. It was love at first sight. As soon as I got it and tried it on, I felt more confident and accepting of myself as-is. I can only assume this positivity came from leftover good vibes embedded in the fabric as a result of having previously belonged to a strong, beautiful woman. Thank you for telling me a bit about your second career and how it was woven from the first. I won't want to go into much detail specifically because I don't know how public these comments get, but let's just say we have a few things in common and WE ROCK! I am proud of you for taking control of your life, working hard and holding your own in hostile environments, not letting any wisdom go to waste, and leaving the parts that weren't helpful in the dust, because you deserved better. We all do, but not everyone gets there. I will look into your book. Writing is important, especially to women because we have to express ourselves somehow, and especially in circumstances where others would rather we kept quiet. It is not just about clearing our minds, like with therapeutic journaling. I believe if we have knowledge, hard-earned, first-hand, we need to share it, as with your book. You have had access to the truth, and then some. Finally, some people are just born to write. So thank you for being a fly on certain restricted-access walls, gaining insight into the ways men think, and for being brave enough to reveal personal experiences to a critical world. Thanks for being a survivor, facing your experiences so you could write about how you changed your life, showing it can be done, but without coming off like a victim. Congratulations on claiming the happiness you always deserved, and for not taking any loser's crap. I have often wanted to put some of my clothes on Poshmark, but regrettably I wear mine into the ground. When they get too bagged out it see-thru, they go through a nightgown phase, and then they become cat beds. Yours is my new favorite dress and I am going to make it last, break it out for special occasions like when company comes over or when I am feeling a little down on myself. I will wear this dress (with the earrings you included) and look in my old nemesis, the mirror, with kinder eyes, and appreciate the woman who looks back.♀️🐾🐾
