When I first saw the listing I thought to myself: Is this a version 5 or is this a version 8? Well I decided to gamble a little bit and decided to order it. June 30th comes around and I received the radio so good shipping speed. I unbox the radio and take a look at the serial number. What do you know? The radio SN begins with 18 (meaning year of manufacture was in 2018) so I thought to myself this a definitely a version 8! I plugged this radio in to make sure everything was good and behold...A version 8 Midland wr300...Something I always wanted and now finally have! Here we are today and this radio went off for its first alert (SMW - Special Marine Warning) and this thing alerted really quick after the third EAS header sound. Really thankful the seller had sold this radio because no longer is this radio being made and sold so it's impossible to get one!
