You listed this brooch quite rightly as "metal", since it's not stamped, but from the weight and style I strongly suspect it's Seagull pewter. The roses are so realistically contoured even on the back that there's no flat surface anywhere where they could have stamped it even if they wanted to! Whatever, it's lovely and I'm very happy with it!
