The item was received as described, and the tag inside says it is a medium. However, it is so small I cannot wear it. I had planned to wear it for Christmas with a maroon/gold cardigan but it was just too uncomfortably tight. I wish the description had said it runs very small. I always wear a Medium: 8 or sometimes a 10, but this fit like a very small 6. I could barely get it on over my head. I was very disappointed b/c I had been searching for a glittery gold turtleneck for quite a while, and this is very pretty in person. I will keep it and pass it along to a smaller gal in my family.
