It's not a "smocked" top as described . But it is definitely a good dress, I wouldn't normally get a dress with the bodice type, it actually reminds me of bodycon on the top. But I thought I'd try it on, though it's more than I would have spent had I known, it's very flattering and I'll go ahead and keep it. It flattens the bust and controls the midsection and for me it's at the top of my feet. Of course black is classic!
