Seller did an excellent job Cushioning/Packing this vintage item. Detailed photos & description were helpful although not completely accurate: There actually IS one crack. It was Not shown in the photos and Neither was the repair which I can now clearly see on the inside/bottom of one of the vertical pieces. It baffles me how that could have been overlooked, As I quickly spotted it upon first inspection. That piece has a shiny new brass screw with a different shaped head from the other fastening hardware. Then on the inside surface, the wire "splint" is held in place with some sort of translucent yellowish glue. I don't know how long this will hold. It may be fine (as long as it doesn't get bumped), because that part is not subject to much weight or structural tension. My dad & husband both work with metal and could probably re-repair if the need arises. I'm skeptical about finding affordable shipshades for it, but I think I can create some 3D Stained glass shades to fit, which will make it all the more unique. It is because of those two family members' and my own skills that I am Not requesting a return & Am ultimately giving a top rating.
