Promoted Closet Terms
Effective Date: 05/16/2024
These Promoted Closet Terms together with our Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Promoted Closet. You understand that, by using Promoted Closet, you are agreeing to these Promoted Closet Terms.
You are responsible for reviewing and abiding by these Promoted Closet Terms, any applicable laws, and our Community Guidelines and other policies. Violation may result in restrictions to your account made at the sole discretion of Poshmark, including termination of your account.
1. Promoted Closet
Promoted Closet is a paid advertising tool sellers can use to promote their listings on Poshmark. When you set a weekly budget, any of your listings marked as “For Sale” are considered eligible listings and may be promoted to buyers by being displayed across the Poshmark platform in locations dedicated to listings promoted through Promoted Closet (“Promoted Listings”). Such locations, which are determined at Poshmark’s discretion, may include various spots in search results and other locations on the Poshmark platform.
Whether one of your eligible listings is selected for display in a location dedicated to Promoted Closet will be based on an auction system that calculates a bid for your listing. The bid amount represents the maximum amount of money you would be charged if your Promoted Listing is clicked, and is calculated based on how competitive your item is relative to other sellers, the likelihood of your listing getting clicked on by buyers, and the weekly budget you have remaining. To determine the competitiveness of your item and the likelihood of your listing getting clicked, we take into consideration a number of factors, such as how similar your listing is to a search query and the number of eligible listings from other closets similar to your listing. The specific factors used for each calculation may vary.
2. Payment and Budget
By providing a weekly budget, you agree to pay any amount up to the weekly budget you set for any and all clicks on your Promoted Listing(s) during the billing cycle. The billing cycle for Promoted Closet is seven (7) days. After each billing cycle ends, you will be invoiced for the total amount of your weekly budget that was used during the billing cycle and your selected payment method will be charged.
You understand that Poshmark will not provide refunds for charges incurred through clicks on your Promoted Listing(s). If the selected payment method fails for any reason, you will remain responsible for any uncollected amounts and we may attempt to charge you again or require that you provide another payment method.
Your weekly budget is the maximum amount of money you are willing to spend through Promoted Closet in a given billing cycle. Your weekly budget will automatically carry over to the next billing cycle unless you cancel or change the weekly budget at least one day before that billing cycle begins. Any changes made to your weekly budget (including cancellation) will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
You will be charged on a cost-per-click basis, which means that you will only be charged for clicks on your Promoted Listing(s). The price of each click may vary and will be calculated based on the bidding system described in Section 1. For each click on one of your Promoted Listings, the cost of the click will be subtracted from your total weekly budget. For purposes of these Promoted Closet Terms, a click is when a buyer clicks on the Promoted Listing (i) to be taken to the listing’s detail page, (ii) to like the listing, or (iii) to add the listing to a bundle.
3. Free Trials and Other Promotions
Poshmark may offer free trials or other promotions for Promoted Closet. Poshmark has sole discretion to determine eligibility for such free trials and promotions.
Poshmark may require the selection of a payment method and/or provision of payment details in order to start the free trial or promotion. If you select a payment method and/or provide such payment details, you understand and expressly agree that, at the end of the applicable free trial or promotion period, you will be charged on a recurring basis to continue your use of Promoted Closet, as further described in Section 2.
When you choose to begin the free trial or promotion, please note the rate and frequency at which you will be charged after the free trial or promotion period ends. If you do not want to be charged, you must cancel the trial or promotion at least one day prior to the end of the applicable free trial or promotion period.
4. Disclaimers
Poshmark has sole discretion to determine user eligibility for Promoted Closet. You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your Poshmark account, including any incurred costs resulting from Promoted Closet. Your use of Promoted Closet does not create an obligation for Poshmark to promote your listing(s) or closet. Poshmark can neither guarantee that a Promoted Listing will be clicked nor that a clicked Promoted Listing will be sold.
Poshmark reserves the right to change or discontinue Promoted Closet at any time. With respect to tools or features intended to replace Promoted Closet, you give Poshmark permission to transfer your settings and preferences (such as budgets and campaigns) to the new tool. Poshmark will provide notice, as appropriate, in the event of any such transfer.
5. Changes to these terms
We may update these Promoted Closet Terms at any time and will provide notice to you of any material changes. You will be responsible for reviewing the updated Promoted Closet Terms, and if you do not agree with the updates, then you must stop using Promoted Closet.
