wednesdayschild @retrocollective hey! I just posted a few of these "cheat sheets" -- like or screenshot if you want! I realized I was doing an internet search every time I posted something because I'm a perfectionist 🤦🏻‍♀️ so I started saving these pictures on my phone. On this page I don't have exact dates but generally each brand is the chronological progression of the tag left 70s/80s to right 80s/90s.

wednesdayschild @sloanek hey! I actually haven't seen that tag before! There's a formula you can use for the RN number, it's not exact but will give you the earliest date it could have been produced. For that tee the earliest date is 1983, some companies keep using the same RN number they were originally assigned when they went into business. Because its 100% cotton and made in Bangladesh I would learn towards early 90s. Probably safe to say it's 1985-1995 and true vintage 🤗

foundbyphil How do you know that velva sheen one is vintage? "Velva Sheen Cincinnati Lettered Sportswear" with red text? I just instagrammed messaged the company (it was rebooted in like 2010) And they said they *Think* its a modern label. Just wanted to see if you have any input! Super helpful!

fza13 @wednesdayschild yeah, I think that's what I found too... after asking you I went digging. Out of all the listings I could find, about half said it was an 80s shirt, and the 70s for the other half. Most didn't have any dates on the shirt print, and weren't shirts of things that I could check the date on, so 🤷. But thx for getting back!
