lovely vintage jade bangle made from high quality jadeite. it is light colour with moss green patches and icy translucent. the inside is 52mm but fits smaller since it is oval shape. so you must have small hands!!! very hard to find in this sizing. i am clearing out some of my colección to make room for new ones lol. offers are welcome 😊

sarah4thenguyen @bedouinkitty I am sure you will laugh...I'm not exactly sure what size the bangle on my wrist is, and it's the only one I have left (I sold all the others in my collection because they really were too big) but if I had to guess I would say...58mm? My wrist is much smaller than that and it fits a lot looser than I would like but I have the big, bony hands of a white girl lol

bedouinkitty @sarah4thenguyen 🤔...we are going to have to find your proper sizing. you think you are sizing 58mm but i am sure you are maybe much smaller. and it all dependes for the torture you can put your hand through lol.

bedouinkitty @sarah4thenguyen i have just find way for you to measure called the "dot method". 1st you have to clench your fist untill you see the white parte for your index finger knuckle...which is basically the bone that sticks out. i had just try lol. make dot there. and with your fist still clench make dot for your pinky finger knuckle also. after you do this you relax your hand and lay flat on table. take ruler and measure distância between the 2 dots.

bedouinkitty @sarah4thenguyen it seems there is 500 carácter limite for posting. so i had to split up for my comments lol. i find it much more easy to measure for cm and then convert to mm. example 5cm would equal to 50mm and this would be bangle sizing. after you measure i think it will be for tight fit but if you prefer to have bit more room add extra cm or 2 after you write down your measurements. i hope this helps!!!

sarah4thenguyen @bedouinkitty okay this was a very clear explanation! I am sorry you had to go through so much trouble of making multiple postings to share it. So I did the dot method and I came up with....5.8 cm or 58mm! LOL I just have very bony hands!!

sarah4thenguyen @bedouinkitty I think what I really need to do is go to a jeweler and have them help me. They can just look at your hand and know! The woman I bought my current bangle from didn't even give me a choice really. I tried to pick out a much whiter one and she said "NO and also that one is too big. Try this one" and she SHOVED the one I have on and my wife was like YES that is traditional-looking I like it let's go.

sarah4thenguyen @bedouinkitty Okay I just tried the dot method again and saw a different dot on my index finger knuckle that I didn't see before. So I measured to that one this time. Now I got 5.4 cm. ?! I think with patience and like you said good lube I could do a much smaller one. I do not really like how big this one is on my wrist and I do wish it was tighter.

sarah4thenguyen @bedouinkitty also I would love to hear your thoughts on the style of bangle that are round all the way around (like a tube) compared the ones that are flat on the inside and round on the outside (this is the type you wear I think). And lastly why are oval-shaped bangles so hard to find?! I need a good reputable jeweler.

bedouinkitty @sarah4thenguyen the round ones like tube is called "princess" style bangles. this ones are much more easy to put on because of the shape and roundness. while i do love this style and it is much more traditional...it can be inconveniente especially if you need to put your arm in small spaces. and if you rest your arm certain way like during sleep makes uncomfy.

bedouinkitty @sarah4thenguyen the pricess ones you it is also much more easy to wear smaller sizing. the ones flat for the inside i am not sure the proper name for this...is much more comfy to wear and do not feel like it cuts off circulation. the oval ones are much more so because it is flush against the wrist depending for what you prefer. if you do decide to go for oval the fit is much more diferente. the fit is also smaller because then it go by 2 number example 54mm by 50mm or 50mm x 43mm etc.

bedouinkitty @sarah4thenguyen i personally love the ovals much more better. also equals more torture!!! lol. it feels much better for me also (not the torture!!!). i do occasionally wear the other styles but i find myself going back to the ovals each time. i do not know why they are so much hard to find for any sizing.

sarah4thenguyen @bedouinkitty you are like a jade bracelet professor with how much knowledge you have! I’m so lucky I met you. Yes it sounds like the oval is the way to go especially if you are like me with a bony hand and a skinny wrist.

sarah4thenguyen @bedouinkitty I wish there was a way for me to send you a photo: mine is so big on me that I can get all four fingers of my other hand inside the bangle between the bracelet and my wrist. But that is how wide the circle needed to be to get over my knuckles!

sarah4thenguyen @bedouinkitty so it bangs around all the time or I have to shove it up high on my arm to keep it in place and I get bruises LOL
