Are you ever dropping the price on this?

This sweater is $295 in IOAN's shop right now. I'd love to make an offer if you drop to at or below retail.

I work at an Industry of All Nations, and we’ve never charged this much for this sweater. I always encourage folks to support secondhand shopping over fast fashion, but $500 is not an ethical price and it’s really unfair to the small communities who raise the alpaca and put the work into spinning the yarn to knit these pieces. Brand new we charge $295, and are willing to ship for free. If anyone sees this, please consider supporting the artisans in Bolivia who make this beautiful sweater.

@rimurakami do you make this sweater in women’s sizes? I just checked it out on your website and I think I need a size P but I’m not sure.

@clomley It’s unisex! Think the smallest size we get in the Fisherman is a small. I wear that size too! It has a beautiful, oversized chunky fit. I wear an XS in women’s sizes, but generally embraced the relaxed look. I French tuck it in the front. Hope that helps!

@rimurakami has your sweater pilled a lot? I'm too far from their stores and have been searching for more reviews or pics of pre-owned ones online and haven't found a lot about the brand..

@zoeonposhmark92 They’re very special garments! It’s surprising when I see the sweaters for resale. I hope you will love IOAN. I’m so happy working there! My sweater does pill over time with wear, like any cashmere or wool sweater, but I minimize that by airing it out in between wears and hand washing delicately when it really needs a pick-me-up. I also use my sweater comb! My elbows see the most pilling, but I climb ladders at my work and lean on them a lot. Hope that helps! 🪴

@rimurakami that is so helpful! Thank you for the details and thoughtful reply!! I know some pilling is always to be expected but I'm disappointed when I wear a sweater once or after the initial pilling and it looks like I've had it for years.. I like buying secondhand where I can see how well the knit has held up or when i can (gently!) rub the sleeves together in store and see the fibers! Thanks for your two cents!

@zoeonposhmark92 I completely understand! Especially with such an investment, you want to make sure you really love what you buy. I completely support that. Wish I could just send you photos of mine. I wear it a lot, a lot, and I think it still looks really great! Super cozy for a natural fiber, too. Feel like wool tends to be itchiest, but alpaca is pretty soft it turns out!

@rimurakami Agree!! The material/blend seems to make all the difference! I think cashmere is a bit overrated... I like that this style/fisherman is maybe thicker 'sturdier' than say the cardigan. I just really like the color 🤣 thank you again for the honest review/endorsement. (Sorry to hijack the poshmark listing...maybe it will help the seller!)
