Hi there - question: I bought a pair of these shorts for my boyfriend at Nordstrom and he loves them so much I'm trying to get him a second pair (in XL). This is my issue: because these are slub cotton, the color can be deceiving. The pair he already has is labeled "black," but really looks like this pair that you're calling heather gray. Is the other pair that you call "black" really solid black as it appears in the photo?

@scnokes22 how interesting ... never realized Alternative calls this color their "Light Black" & the other pair I have posted is "True Black". I've edited both postings to reflect that so thanks for pointing that out! My boyfriend loves these too! Soooo soft!!! If you're looking for a certain color let me know, I might be able to get it 😉

OK, perfect - so that tells me everything I need to know! He has the "light black" already (which Nordstrom just calls "black"), but not the "true black" (which I didn't know existed). So I'll try and grab that pair from you! Thx!

@kiaraalexi From me in NY to you is a 2-day ship. So they would arrive by Wed. When I get to my office I’m going to triple check to ensure I have stock in the size you need - if I didn’t have 2XL in all the styles i would get them through my vendor the next day, but that would obviously be too long of a wait for you since you need them by Wed & I would be shipping them Tues in that case. So stay tuned and I’ll write you back within the next 1-2 hours as I want to ensure I can meet your deadline.

@kiaraalexi I just received an email back from my vendor and although they’re going to continue to sell the size 2XL directly through the Alternative Apparel website, independent vendors will only be carrying up to size XL from now on. So unfortunately, since I have no more size 2X in stock at my office, I cannot get those sizes for you. Apologize for the back and forth and disappointing news :(
