ariel1200 i have posted the best pics i can of the end, it is not metal, it is made to look like an organic material like wood or clay, i really don't know what the beads are made of, they seam to be some sort of resin material, so does the material at the end, so sorry i cant give you more specific info, i bought it so long ago at a Saturday market here in Eugene or, it was hand made by the vendor.
