It is a device that works for six months not 35 uses. It cannot be used in anyway a year or two years or even six months after the original prescription. It stops working to ensure that it isn’t abused or has issues due to age.

The device was only studied on fractures up to 180 days old so the FDA only approved it to use for up to 180 days or six months. They don’t want people to use it on fractures older than that because it’s safety and efficacy have not been evaluated in fractures that old They also don’t want you to use the device on new fractures that occur after that time. Because they’re worried you would try to use the device in lieu of appropriate medical care.
