Circa 1975 Vintage Simulated Lab-created Garnet or Ruby Gemstone and Silver Plated Ladies Ring Size 6. Laboratory grown simulation gems were very popular for jewelry in the 1970’s because of their beautiful clarity and predictably perfect cutting into usable gemstones. The stone measures approx 10 mm diameter and is 5.5 mm deep. This ring’s band has an inside mark that reads, “SILVER”. The bottom of the ring where the shiny silver is worn down has exposed a magnetically attracted base metal. The ring has a surprising low profile for the gem size and is super easy to wear anywhere. This ring originally belonged to my mother who purchased it when we lived in Taipei, Taiwan in the mid to late 1970’s. It has been well loved and is looking for a new loving home! ❤️
