WWI Era with a "C-clasp" with a T-bar hinge which typically indicates a late 19th century to early 20th century origin. The 46th Infantry Division was initially headquartered in Lansing, Michigan. Many of its units had previously been part of the 32nd Infantry Division. The division was converted to the Reorganization Objective Army Division (ROAD) structure in March 1963.
