WWI Era with a "C-clasp" with a T-bar hinge which typically indicates a late 19th century to early 20th century origin. The pin is thicker than what you see made today in order to go through the thicker materials of the time. Military collar pins are small insignia worn on the collars of military uniforms to denote rank, unit, or branch of service. The 50th Infantry Regiment was constituted on May 15, 1917, in the Regular Army and organized on June 1, 1917, at Syracuse, New York. It was assigned to the 20th Division on July 31, 1918, and later relieved from this assignment on February 28, 1919.
