brass cricket box handmade vintage item great patina

Beautiful brass box that took a lot of work to emboss and cut out. This is clearly carefully made by hand, as evidenced by the inexact symmetry. Solid brass from India. Numbered "41" on the end Please study photo #2 Rectangular shape with domed top. Measures about 3 1/4 x 6" and is about 4" tall not counting handle. Sits on four little "feet" Hinged cover opens easily and there's a working clasp on the front. With an eye to detail, there's "stop" on the back so the lid doesn't go too far back when opened. Great patina. This is a treasure to the collector, who does not always find a piece with this kind of craftsmanship. Great little piece of decor for a grouping.
