Elegant vintage brass jewelry box with intricate floral engravings. Perfect for storing small treasures. Beautiful brass box that took a lot of work to emboss. No cutouts on this one, so it's probably not what you'd call a cricket box. This is clearly carefully made by hand, as evidenced by the inexact symmetry. Solid brass from India. Rectangular shape with domed top and side handles. Measures about 3 1/4 x 5 1/4" " and is about 4" tall Sits on four little "feet" Hinged cover opens easily and there's a working clasp on the front. With an eye to detail, there's "stop" on the back so the lid doesn't go too far back when opened. Great patina. This is a treasure to the collector, who does not always find a piece with this kind of craftsmanship. Great little piece of decor for a grouping. Can be used open to hold an arrangement.
