Zanesville Stoneware company in Zanesville, Ohio was in business from 1887- 2002. It is one of the oldest pottery companies in the country.
The older stoneware, (1960's and earlier), is very collectible and sought after. Much of it is not marked, but most of it, especially earlier pieces, are very heavy, have thin runny glaze, distinctive yellowish clay on the bottom. They produced Art pottery as well as more utilitarian and garden ware.
