Approximately 18” x 18” Artist Yolanda Andres spent most of her childhood in her mother's sewing store, where she learned to embroider at just six years old. The craft was always a family affair - she passed countless sunny afternoons in Zamora, Spain, embroidering with her sisters, friends, aunts, and grandmothers. After spending a decade working in advertising, Andres returned to embroidery at the suggestion of her husband, honing her technique with cotton yarn, silk threads, canvas, and linen.
