-TO DATE THE ONLY EXISTENCE OF YEAR 2 JANUARY 15-18, 1998 ESPN & ESPN2 Crested Butte.Co Poster EVER!!!! -Bought off Exec at ESPN IN 1998 -The first Winter X Games took place at Snow Summit ski resort in Big Bear Lake, California, in 1997. The following two years, the Games were held at Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado. The two years following that, the Games were in Mount Snow, Vermont. Since 2002, the Winter X Games have been held at Aspen's Buttermilk Mountain, continuing until 2024.
