Y2K Max Mayer Purse

This gorgeous Max Mayer purse was an impulse purchase from a boutique in Ocean City, New Jersey (if I remember correctly). I loved it back then and used it on several special occasions, but it no longer matches my style. It is made of sturdy textured light pink material, with champagne satin lining. Down the center front, it features colorful beaded flowers with ribbon roses in the centers, in shades of green and orange. On either side of this, it is bordered in brown ribbons, studded with pink sequin daisies. Finally, on the outside, it features bold ribbon roses and organza decorations, in various shades of pink. It has a clam mouth with rhinestone “pineapples” that snap together to keep it shut. All of the fixtures are brass-colored. It has a round handle for carrying, as well as a 48-inch removable shoulder chain. The bottom of the purse measures 10.5 inches wide, while the mouth is about half that closed. It is about 10.5 inches tall as well. The back is without decoration. There is some fraying on the ribbon roses down the front, and some of the trim has come loose on one side, but even these flaws feel secure and unlikely to continue decaying, and both would be easy fixes.
