Circa 1998, numbered plate in the limited edition of “Frederick The Literate” by American artist Charles M. Wysocki, Jr. (1928-2002). First issue in the Purr-fect Places Wysocki collection. Per back of plate, “produced on hard-fired porcelain in an edition limited to 95 firing days and crafted to the exacting standards of the The Bradford Exchange.” Gold gilded plate rim. EUC excellent preowned condition as per photos; no cracks, no chips, no crazing. BRADEX NUMBER 84-B11-128.1 “Chuck” Wysocki is renown for his warm, whimsical and witty depictions of the good ol’ days past — America as he imagined it to be. His works remind us of life lived in times filled with old-fashioned values, simple dreams, innocence, and cherished treasures. Undoubtedly popular, Wysocki is beloved by his fans for his genuine personality, humorous wit, family values, and deep-hearted love for community and country. He was recognized in his lifetime with numerous awards, most prized being the Daughters of the American Revolution Award for Patriotism.
