This is a well-executed windmill, painted by hand. Here is the translation of the text printed on the back: "This old Dutch tile was manufactured by Tichelaars Royal Makkumer Aardewerk in Tile Factory B.V. Makkum, Netherlands ~ Soon after 1600, hand-shaped tiles were made from domestic clay and hand-painted in the Netherlands, building on a ceramic tradition from the Middle Ages. This method, with the tin glaze as a determining factor, has been followed in our company for more than three centuries. Each tile has its own character thanks to the dedication and craftsmanship of the painter".
