They have a slightly thinner material than standard denim jeans and have a nice stretch to them for comfort and a tailored fit. Some of the “darkness” has lightened a little over a few washes but these are still in great shape with no signs of distress. Keep in mind that the gems have been flipped up and and “tacked” with a few minor stitches around the hem but can be let down to extend the jeans further. When I purchased, the hems were not rolled up but I did this because they were too long for my standard heel height. But you can easily gain 2” more in inseam by un-tacking.
