Women’s Waxed Cotton Moto Jacket

I thought this jacket was so cute when I saw it in a shop in Annecy France. It looks like leather but is actually a waxed cotton. 100% cotton. Cool wash or dry clean. Zip front, double zip pockets, and zips on the sleeves. Burgundy color with a slight shimmer. Size marked is “L”, but it’s not a US large. Probably an S, like a US 4. Close fit, cropped length. Approximate measurements 34” around chest at underarms, 22” long. Sleeves about 24” Excellent condition from non-smoking home.

chsrecat54 @plumdottie awesome! And one other question, does this have any stretch to it, specially around the bust area? I’m a 34D and I’m pretty concerned I might not be able to zip it closed 🥴

plumdottie @chsrecat54 Hi. It's not stretchy at all. At the time I bought this I was 32E and it fit me fine. It is a close fit (like a moto jacket). I have gained more than a little weight since then. I just tried it on over a t-shirt and I am able to zip it, though it's quite tight. I measured with a tape measure around the chest at the widest part (just under the underarm seam) and it is 38 inches. Maybe try measuring a jacket you have to see it if will work??

chsrecat54 @plumdottie hmm it’s close…my similar jacket that now has all its PU coating peeling off 😑 is the same 38”, but has stretchy side panels, and it’s snug. And this is true waxed cotton yes (like Barbour-style)? Not PU coated?

plumdottie @chsrecat54 Hi. Yes, I think it's a toss-up on the fit. I only wore it a few times and liked to use it as an accent piece over a dress so I didn't zip it. I can't say definitively on the coating. the label says "100 cotton" and "100% imitation leather" but doesn't define what that is. I tried comparing it to a Barbour, but it's hard to compare since Barbour is a much more expensive jacket...I think I paid about 75 euro for this in a little shop.
