dawnbruneau @dkfarms hello there - This brand is no slouch when it comes to cold temps. My go-to for the coldest days outside is the same brand and very similar to this! It is NOT going to be as warm as a full length, 850 fill power, goose down parka - but they are completely different jackets styles, with different uses. If you like the style of a ski-jacket then I would say this will do a credible job. But I'm not going to lie to you and tell you it's the warmest thing on the market either 😁

dkfarms @dawnbruneau very fair description! I'm 5' 7"... does this hit more at the waist, or does it cover the bum a bit?

dawnbruneau @dkfarms for you I'd say it will hit between the waist a bum...ski jackets go a bit lower than waist to keep the snow out, but not so long as to completely cover your bum. I'm also 4 inches shorter than you - that said I will go measure the length!
