The color is white but its not a bright white like you see in some of todays fabrics. Its not yellowed with age at all. It feels like a polyester rayon blend but with a faded tag I cant be certain. There is no stretch. I would hand wash cold and drip dry. It is quite beautiful in its simplicity and lines . Embroidery is lovely with very pale pink and silvery lavender flowers. The little pearl beads add the right touch without being overdone. It is nicely constructed and has many years left if well cared for. Note: I estimate the size as being between a 1X and 2X. It would be a comfortable 1X and ok as a 2X depending on your measurements. My friend who owned this was a 1X at the time she wore it. This top has NO stretch so please take that into account when comparing measurements.
