wrigley22 @supermansgirl it's made of a heavy plastic material... Think & strong. Yes, the cardboard comes out. Only had that in to show it was never used. There is an additional cubby there. It's still wrapped in plastic. It's a wonderful item! I'm only selling cause I have 2
