White hand crocheted vest

I'm told this was crocheted by a friend's granny years ago. I guess she used to make lots of her own clothes. The pattern looks like leaves, like a plant growing up the panel. It's mirrored on the front and back. 19 in across the chest from the top of one armhole to the other. About 24 in across the bottom if it's positioned as in the last picture. 26 in from middle of the shoulder to the bottom hem.
