White Jug Pitcher by Hall Pottery China, Vintage 1930's 64 oz Heavy Stoneware

This heavy 64oz jug pitcher was found in an old Adirondack log cabin we bought in 1985. The owners at that time said the cabin was 50 years old (built in 1935) and a lot of the kitchen ware found in the cabinets were just as old. I put this pitcher away at that time as I knew it was quite a find and it has been displayed in my dining room since 1993. I'm now ready to sell it to someone who will appreciate it's age and clean crisp good looks. The closest pattern on the internet that I can find by Hall China is White by Hall - solid white - no markings other than the Hall circle logo on the bottom - Made in U.S.A. This is not a ball pitcher as Hall made in the 50's, or the square logo pottery made in the 70's. It is old. I can't find it listed anywhere online. The pitcher is in great condition with no chips, cracks, staining or crazing. A few minor pottery "bumps or dots" here and there under the glaze from manufacturing. Typical marks on the bottom unglazed rim from age, use and storage. Hall china is manufactured using a single-fire process, which means it is non-porous, durable and will not craze. This large pitcher measures about 7 1/2" diameter at the widest part, 8 1/2" wide spout to handle, and about 8" tall. It holds approximately 64 ounces comfortably.
