Whimsical Chicken Art - Handmade Wooden Chicken Pin signed by artist Jody Silver

From the artist's personal collection, this very whimsical chicken (Hen or rooster? You decide.☺) was designed and hand crafted by respected Connecticut artist Jody Silver (1942-2017). Jody took up jewelry, and, what she called, decor making, later in her successful career, which included animation, authoring and illustrating children's books, painting, and sculpting. This somewhat bonkers bird's body is constructed of wood and its wooden comical feet are attached by wire legs. On the back, where Jody signed the piece, is a loop for hanging it as a decor ornament from a lamp or other object. There also is a clasp pin you can use to attach it to a curtain or drape, or to a shirt, blouse, or jacket as a pin, where it will make a big statement that you are in a carefree frame of mind! This pin is from the artist's collection, so it's current condition is very close to its original condition after its completion by the artist. Very slight wear from handling.
