Be AWARE ‼️ Dear PFFs. Please videotape your sales with proof of date like a newspaper or screenshots of news and date during the videotape. I had a buyer “wtroetsch” who opened a case and claimed the item was damaged and when I told her that I have video tape of the sale with her shipping label, she told me since I have more than one pair of that boot, I cannot prove that the video i took is taken from her item at the shipping date!!

zuzusconsign I just had that happen with a xojuelzxo ... horrible experience. What I do now is go look at their “about” to see any negative comments, conversations,,,etc. there is usually a pattern of behavior. It’s unfortunate that posh allows these buyers with no protection for the seller. I wish they would allow us to rate buyers too!

preppy_girls @raravanis227 I was video taping the item inspection, and packing with my iPhone to have the time stamp on it. But couldn’t film the shipping processes since my iPhone just takes only 15 min video and then I need to record the the rest of process in another file. Filming the whole process would be crazy and it would be in several separate recording.

preppy_girls @raravanis227 However after being scammed again, I just changed my process. I request USPS pickup and do the recording, inspection and packing just before the pick up with a new camera.

jadster I had something similar happen, so I always videotape my wrapping the item and putting it in the box at the post office. ❤️great advice

greencheekdino Just had this happen to me 😞. It's so demoralizing. The buyer in my case was "jsanzica1985". There were other comments on her about me page that warned of her scamming techniques. My seller-beware comment has now been deleted and so have the critical comments made by other poshers. I wish there was a central place where sellers could warn each other of malicious buyers so we could preemptively block! Poshmark does very little to protect the seller.

jdoll1850 So glad I came across your closet and saw your tip about scammers and video taping! I also was scammed back in July by luccichambless who purchased 2 pair of almost perfect Steve Madden wedges from me. She opened a claim against me and submitted pictures of a pair of shoes that had been destroyed saying that’s what I shipped her. As a fairly new seller I was devastated.

coottour Thanks for the advice! This is happening to me right now on another platform. Thankfully it is a platform that allows sellers to rate buyers and actually block a malicious buyer.
