Red Wing's 8863 in slate muleskinner, finished with wax. The leather darkens near stiffer waxed areas, but it wears off over time. If it's not your thing, it comes off eventually if you don't reapply. Otherwise it emphasizes natural patina and it's more resistant. No need to baby it. Ultimately, these are a half size too short for me and I rarely wore them.
