2ndhandscavengr I also encountered this today, particularly after a lowball offer and comments, which I blocked, and then immediately got comments from another account. Blocked that one. Then all these followers with 141 accounts they follow… ya it’s highly suspect

psidebottom Thank you! Noticed it right away, listed a gown for over $500 - I immediately had like seven accounts asking me about the dress. Noticed all of them had 141 followers or were following 141 sellers. Appreciate this post

recycled_01 Appreciate this post! I have over 100 new followers a day with 141 followers. I actually just had an expensive sale get delivered from an account that had 141 followers and suspicious activity on their “about me “ post.

recycled_01 They had comments from other sellers saying the purchase didn’t go through etc. they now received their order and IMMEDIATELY opened a claim. Saying there were holes. I asked for proof and there are holes that were of course never there, and looked done with scissors, nowhere at the seams.

recycled_01 Clearly purposeful. I believe there are scammers using fraudulent information to purchase, and then receiving the refund through another name and taking that as profit. A lot of these accounts have a full first and last name and I look them up on google and their faces and profiles don’t match or are very blurry, or look photoshopped or AI.

recycled_01 I guess we will see what the returned item looks like. I know people return fake pieces all the time. But just be wary. I already had another purchaser today with similar suspicious information and followers/account activity and i messages poshmark and buyer and I will be sending photos and videos before shipping every order now.

moni3jg I'm glad I google "poshmark scams 141 followers" before sending off 2 of my items. in less than 30 min 2 of my items sold both new members to poshmark and both with 141 followers. About 3 months ago, this same thing happened, but the buyer would never message me back. I was messaging to all questions, and after 15 attempts, poshmark told me I could cancel the transaction. They also only had 141 followers. Something didn't feel right then and doesn't feel right now.

michellesava @moni3jg Omg I just sent 400 shoes off to 141 brand new account. I am sick to my stomach I noticed so many new accounts with coincidentally, 141 followers, but I didn’t really think about it and then all these offers and two new sales in the last couple days. I thought was odd but I was happy about it until I put two into together just now and it’s too late. I sent everything this morning.
