WWII 63 Letters Lot War Pictures STARS AND STRIPES Newspaper JUNE 7, 1944 D Day
63 letters in the lot! Couple unopened. Some are photo copied and sent in a tiny envelope looks like they would read them before sending them.
One had the original STARS AND STRIPES NEWSPAPER OF JUNE 7, 1944. Stars and Stripes newspaper of June 7, 1944. London Edition with headline article 'Allies Driving Into France'. Without a doubt one of the hardest Stars and Stripes newspaper to find! This is the first Western Europe Edition of Stars and Stripes that reports of D Day (the edition of June 6 was already published when D Day became the biggest news). It includes Ike's 'Order of the Day' on the front page. The newspaper consists of four pages and will look awesome framed.
Another letter had these 2in by 2in war time photos. 1 is a picture of the trains, says “graves in chateau Merci”. One looks to be a bombing unsure photo is blurry, says “P-47 over Luxembourg city. Random photos of people in uniform. 1 nice photo of the Soldier in a nice glass frame ( frame has normal wear and tear, missing metal corners, torn in back).
Random postcards!
Great for any avid collector!!!!
