WW2 1940’s Real Gold Navy or Captains Hat

This is an amazing relic from WW2. This hat is from either the U.S. NAVY or a WW2 era shipman hat from a captain. The only ones similar we could find was parts of both so we aren’t quite sure what this guy is. this has insanely beautiful real gold beads on the insignia and gold string for the regalia on the visor part. The inside has a odd polyester plastic liner that I haven’t seen before and is as is. This hats in beautiful condition with no major stains, rips or tears. This does have some black speckling we have not attempted to remove on the back. Perfect for a WW2 collector!
