This leather money belt, from the early 1940s, belonged to my father when he was in the Navy during World War II. The tan belt features one long compartment for bills and two smaller compartments for coins — all three with snap closures — plus a clear plastic window for identification. The belt is nearly 43” long: the leather portion is 16.25” with a 26.5” pin stripe fabric strap that slips into a metal tab closure. My dad took care of things so the belt is in fine shape, given that it’s about 80 years old. Signs of wear are commensurate with age.
