Ertl diecast 1931 Stearman Bi-Plane/Airplane bank that promotes the Texaco Oil Co. This plane is #3 in the "Wings of Texaco" plane series. It is authentically scaled, highly detailed with landing gear and rotating propeller. It also has a baked enamel finish and is red with white detailing. This plane is 8.5 inches long and has a wingspan of 12 inches. The wings on this plane are corrugated and on the top it says, "NC563Y." On the side of the plane it says, "Texaco 14." This plane was mfd in 1995 by Ertl. NEW IN BOX!
The Texaco '14' Stearman biplane was purchased for a little under $15,000 from the Stearman Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas in July 1931. The 300 h.p. Wasp Jr. radial engine delivered a top speed of 145 m.p.h. and a maximum range of 720 miles.
